Headlines!

First I want to say that I am writing this because there was so much that was worth writing about in the headlines today so I'm gonna touch em all.
Last night Matt Garza threw a no-hitter. It was the 5Th no no this year. It should have been the 6Th, but we won't bring up that Gallaraga thing again. It was a typical no-hitter. It wasn't like the terrible no-hitter that Edwin Jackson got. It was legit lights out pitching. Maybe this is what the Rays needed to get a spark to push and beat the Yankees in the division. The thing that is just odd is that all the no-hitters except for Halladay and Jimenez were by pitchers who were relatively unknown up until that point. But mostly I am writing this little section just to say Congrats to Matt Garza on a no-hitter.

It seems like everyday some kind of source says that T.O is going to go to a certain place. Yesterday it was the Rams which was the stupidest idea ever. Today its the Jets which is almost as stupid. In both situations there is a young quarterback that will probably lose all self esteem because of T.O. Even worse in New York Mark Sanchez has already shown he is shaky. Getting T.O is not going to help. I think that the perfect fit is with the Vikings. They obviously don't agree with me because they are not going after him. He will end up in Cincinnati that is my ultimate prediction. But its not like that is the smartest idea ever. It just seems like wherever T.O goes there is going to be something bad.

Recently we have heard Jeff Fisher talk about Lane Kiffen and get mad at him. Saying that there are certain rules that must be followed. The reason that Fisher said this. Lane Kiffen looked at and hired one of Fisher's coordinators without even telling Fisher that they were looking around at him. You are supposed to tell him so that he can find somebody to cover if that guy leaves. He doesn't want to end up one day with the coordinator and the next day have him gone. Now the Titans have made more of a push. They are going to sue Kiffen and USC for just stealing their coach. Its not something to be taken lightly. This is the kind of thing that we expected Lane Kiffen would do eventually. So far the year was going well he wasn't making any unrealistic predictions, wasn't claiming other coaches had recruiting violations. Overall the year was quiet until this surfaced. Now we see that Kiffen is the same Kiffen that he always was. He is so arrogant. He has a head the size of Alaska. If he just doesn't try to make headlines and think he is something special so he can do whatever he wants he is going to continue to be hated.

The final story of this blog is about Chris Paul. Recently there were trade rumors. He wanted to be anywhere but New Orleans before the beginning of the season. Then he has a meeting with the owner GM and coach. He comes out and says that he wants to stay in New Orleans as long as possible. The other people in the meeting say that he didn't even ask for a trade in the meeting. Apparently Paul was pleased with the way that they wanted the team to head. Could this mean that the Hornets are going to make some big moves this summer or next summer? I guess that's a possibility. But really when you think about it. What is Paul supposed to say when he asked. Is he supposed to be like ya i want a trade this place sucks. So I think that Paul might still get traded and I think that if he doesn't don't act surprised when the hornets sign a couple really good players and start to make a team out of themselves.
